there exist alot of ways of meeting people in groups online if thepurpose is grand.like adoption or war or a class reunion. but imagine a yahoo or ms or google group set up relative to an article in the times or relative to a pubmed story . or even dealing with local movie schedules in tampa or an ad from a car dealer in brooklyn.or a national adoption agency or a specific lawyer in buffalo or a tv show or new sneaker for running from adidas. This can be done by having lots of small groups elsewhere in yahoo groups and if one discovers them and by using the interesting webpage address as title of group. this would be difficult as the group would be far away; most readers wouldnt think about looking for a group at all.an easier way is to use a tool or browser that allows the set up of groups above normal webpages on top of them where any reader can begin the group ,leave comments, and leave a google talk or skype or yahoo button there so others can see if he or she is online at anytime even if at another page.. any navigator could decide to set up a group above any webpage and others there later would find the group if they nav thru the browser or have the tool.a lawyer might not want a group hovering above his page where he gets clients . But he too could comment there and other lawyers or real estate agents might like this idea.if we want a net where voip fon exists but also social meeting then we need this tool.a community bullitin board where you can go and read something online, anything and see who else is reading the same thing or who has read it already.where we can comment on wat we want. i go to my kids school page and meet others online right there or if theyre online but on other pages ,read comments left there ,add my 2 cents.i go to the singles meetin page and meet others online right then with no form to fill out. Or the dogsitters page might have comments from customers conected or not. or the church or shul or an ad from a local restaurant where i clik and see who said wat about the place or i start the group myself. fear? curiosity? info? watever.....many webpages have contact forms even skype buttons but we need more than big yahoo groups on world affairs. we need a tool to help people meet and share on very local affairs.as well the big affairs might enjo having a group right there on the webpage with no linking needed.I imagine you open any page and see 2 groups of buttons. 1 representing those there right now.a second group the written comments but showing also those online but elsewhere and those offline. online butWhy cant groups be set up on top of any page?. In flock you share your favorites. If you see a ninteresting page you can star it then look for others who might have it in favorites also. But the immediate contact with those on that page right now is missing. The something in common is there but the sharing is missing.on a community bullitin board one can read something then see who else is reading it and immediately talk .Or see who else had read it and talk right away by cellfon if that person is locatable. Or simply contact that other person later. or leave your own comment there. WHY NOT HAVE THIS IN MY WEB? if the web is the bulletin board to the world then wheres the face to face right now and here talk that makes us community? must we go to yahoo groups to search and wait and forget it all? the tecnology is easy for this . it can be a notepad on topof any page or a side bar. But it should be without a link . The being there is needed.A link would be like going off away to another yahoo group ,not near the controversial page. The contact buttons could be lit up wen a subscriber opens the page and part of any comment. Even possible is to leave a button anywhere even if one leaves no comment like a calling card. As well one might be able to leave a note on any page that only he or she can see to help him recall something. It could be a 3m type yellow paper stuk on the page or somehow jus part of the group comment line that only he can see. . steven marcus levihello@gmail.com munity

are difficult to be found and never local if one is looking for a group

flock lets you share your favorites but doesnt form a group with it you can meet others and talk about your interest but most people arent flockers, they are interested in sharing their thoughts and hearing others thoughts but opening their secret Favorites might not be clear. any also, most places where people want to read comment are not Favorites, they are just passing thru and readers might want to just read others ideas quickly on the cuff.

my idea is when you open any page, you see with an indicator, immediately thru your browser, that it has a group. you dont have to wonder,"is there a group somewhere in grouplandia pertaining to this?" nor do you need to put this page in your flock favorites then see whom else has done this then send emails to them then wait.

you just open any freakin page and it tells you that a group is right above.you just get right in and read write and voip instantly those there at same time but also those whom had commented there weeks before or those who left their voip name there.
